Summer Bike Rides with Cycling UK Alton

A recent introductory bike ride for families and newcomers to cycling was organised by Cycling UK Alton as part of national Bike Week.   A five-mile route took in Anstey Park and Anstey Mill Lane with a stop at Holybourne Pond, where a heron and several ducklings were spotted.  The return was via the cycle path along Anstey Road and back roads to Alton Community Centre.


A second easy-paced ride will take place on Saturday 8th July, leaving the Community Centre at 10am.  This time a longer ten-mile route will include a coffee and cake stop halfway round.  All are welcome, just turn up on a roadworthy bike.  For more details, see the poster below.
